Physics allows us to explain how and why things happen from the smallest to the largest scales. From how a bee manages to stay in the air to the fate of our Universe, physics allows us to explore everything around us and look into the future, as well as the past.

Established in 2010 by Carl, then a physics undergraduate with a strong passion for physics and its unique ability to let us understand everything around us, the site was created to spread physics news and knowledge to everyone regardless of their education. In time, the site filled with original articles and news reports at all levels from which everyone could learn from and be enthused by. Although much has changed since 2010, the pre-requisites for Carl Talks Physics haven’t. You don’t have to be a physicist. You don’t have to be a student. All you need is that drive to want to learn something new, explore the unexplored and find out something completely new.

The site has become more than the writings of an enthusiastic undergraduate physicist, with contributors from all around the globe now regularly adding to the wealth of knowledge held in these pages.
